    Benefits of participating in the service

    Rehabilitation improves work ability and functional capacity if they have declined. 

    • In rehabilitation, you will agree on the goals of the rehabilitation together with a professional.
    • Through rehabilitation, you can also get access to assistive devices that facilitate school attendance, studying or working.
    • During rehabilitation, you may be entitled to rehabilitation allowance, which safeguards your livelihood.

    Conditions for participating in the service

    You can apply to Kela for rehabilitation if your work ability or functional capacity has declined. In most cases, you will need a medical certificate. The medical certificate must state what type of rehabilitation the doctor recommends for you. Once you have received a medical certificate from a doctor, you can apply for rehabilitation.
