    You can access health check-ups for the unemployed by calling the appointment booking service of the health team at your local health station, asking your assigned employment services specialist for a referral, or contacting your local health station via its e-services.

    Benefits of participating in the service

    During the health check-up, you will be provided with a personal care or service plan. It records the relevant plans and goals for your health, wellbeing and work ability and specifies how monitoring will be carried out. 

    Conditions for participating in the service

    A free statutory service for all unemployed jobseekers.

    Disclosure of the necessary health information affecting the client’s work ability and functional capacity requires the client to give consent in writing for the exchange of information. Health information may not be disclosed to another authority without written consent.

    How can I participate in the service?

    Health check-ups for the unemployed take place at your local health station, during an appointment with your health team’s public health nurse. If the public health nurse deems that you need to see a doctor, the public health nurse can book a doctor’s appointment for you, and it will be free of charge.
