    • guidance and support for studies and learning.

During the training, a personal study plan will be prepared for you, taking into account your previous work experience and education, for instance.

The integration training includes on-the-job learning implemented at workplaces, which allows you to experience working life and practise using Swedish in practical situations.

Your designated specialist will direct you to this training. The initial assessment involves assessing your Swedish proficiency, reading and writing skills, and learning skills. You will be provided with a recommendation on suitable training in Swedish or other similar services.

Benefits of participating in the service

The service supports your integration in Swedish, and the goal is for you to enter Finland’s open labour market.

During integration training organised as labour market training, students can complete certificates required in working life (such as the hygiene passport or occupational safety card) or a national certificate of language proficiency (YKI certificate) if necessary. The process to seek recognition of a foreign degree may also be initiated during integration training.

Conditions for participating in the service

Your assigned specialist will assess your need for the service and direct you to an assessment of your initial level of Swedish proficiency. The service will assess your Swedish proficiency, reading and writing skills, and learning skills. The service will provide you with a recommendation on suitable integration training or other services.

How can I participate in the service?

During the training, you will study Swedish, learn more about Finnish society and its customs, and receive information about Finland’s labour market. The training includes individual guidance, a language training period and a traineeship. The courses organised as independent studies primarily start with in-person teaching in the autumn. At other times, please contact the service provider Helsingfors Arbis in Helsinki or Lärkkulla in Karis. More information and advice is available from Luckan and the employment authority.
