    Kick-start coaching for young adults (Vantaa)

    Kick-start coaching is a goal-oriented part-time group activity for young adults. During the coaching, the young adults receive support for taking care of personal matters and planning their future, such as searching for a job or place to study.

    Who is the service for?

    The service is intended for Vantaa residents between the ages of 18 and 25 who are not in employment, education or training. It is particularly intended for young adults for whom a part-time work try-out is a suitable option. Requirement for participation in a work try-out: unemployed jobseeker. The service is particularly suitable for young adults who require support for taking care of matters and planning their future, such as searching for a job or place to study. It is also meant for young adults who are looking for routines and something to do with their time.

    How can I participate in the service?

    Next coaching period will take place 1.12.2025-27.2.2026. Applicants are contacted roughly within a week of submitting their application.

    Application period: 6.10.-5.11.2025.   14 young people are selected for the group. 

    Work try-out agreements are always concluded in cooperation with an employment specialist of the City of Vantaa.

    Introductions to the workshops, on Mondays at 13.00 at the Liito multi-purpose venue, Lummetie 2 B c. No advance registration required.

    A target plan will be prepared for the workshop period. 

    Conditions for participating in the service

    No prior education or work experience is required. You must be able to communicate in Finnish.

    How is the service organised?

    The kick-start coaching includes group activities and individual guidance. The working methods include creative and action-oriented methods, among other things. The content of the group is built together with the young adults participating in the group. The maximum number of participants per group is 14. The group lasts for roughly three months, and its activities take place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9.00 to 14.00.
