The service is free of charge

Akkad Group Oy organises a wide range of card and licence training courses in different languages. If you sign up for training on your own, you need to pay for the training yourself.

For clients of Vantaa Employment Services, completing an occupational safety card and hygiene passport is free of charge if you have agreed on your participation with your assigned employment specialist. If you would like to participate in the training for free, you must not sign up for the training on your own. Instead, your assigned specialist from Vantaa Employment Services will sign you up for the training.

Discuss your potential participation with your assigned employment specialist if you meet the following conditions:

You are a client of Vantaa Employment and Integration Services.
You need an occupational safety card or hygiene passport for your job search.
You would like to participate in occupational safety card training and take the occupational safety test for free or you would like to take the hygiene passport test for free.
If you want an occupational safety card, you can speak one of the following languages: easy Finnish, English, Russian, Ukrainian or Arabic.
If you want a hygiene passport, you can speak one of the following languages: English, Russian or Arabic.
You have a smartphone, tablet or computer and know how to use it.

If you are a client of Vantaa Employment Services and you need an occupational safety card or hygiene passport, please contact your assigned specialist. If the training is deemed to improve your chances of finding employment, you can agree on it with the specialist, in which case the training will be free of charge for you.

Your assigned specialist will sign you up for the service. Do not sign up via the Akkad website.

Once you have been signed up, you will receive a confirmation message and more detailed instructions on how to participate in the training or take the test.

Benefits of participating in the service

The occupational safety card is required in many fields, such as construction, industry, cleaning, transport, warehouse work, property maintenance, logistics, recycling and many others.

An occupational safety card is valid for five years.

A hygiene passport is required in many fields where the work involves cooking, serving, packing or selling food, for example. If you are looking for a job in the restaurant and catering industry, food industry or trade, for example, you may need a hygiene passport.

A hygiene passport will remain valid until further notice.

Conditions for participating in the service

Occupational safety card training is provided via a remote connection. To participate in and complete the training, you will need either a smartphone or computer and a working internet connection.

For a hygiene passport, you will study on a self-study platform in preparation for the test. To use the platform, you will need a smartphone or computer, an internet connection and adequate IT skills. Hygiene passport tests are held in Helsinki, and you must take the test in person on site.

Participating in the service requires your consent to the disclosure of your personal data. If you are a client of Vantaa Employment Services and your assigned specialist registers you for the training, your contact information will be disclosed to Akkad. For more information, please contact your specialist.

How can I participate in the service?

OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY CARD

Occupational safety card training is provided via a remote connection. To participate in and complete the training, you will need either a smartphone or computer and a working internet connection.

The training will take an entire day (8.00–16.00). Please note that some of the groups take place at weekends.

On the day of the training, you will first participate in the chosen training before taking the occupational safety card test at the end of the day. The test language options include the five training languages (Finnish, English, Russian, Ukrainian and Arabic) as well as Swedish, Estonian, German and Polish.

HYGIENE PASSPORT

Once your assigned employment services specialist has signed you up for the training, you will receive a link in your email to a self-study platform available in your language as well as an attachment with instructions on how to practise for the test. You will practise for the test independently. On the self-study platform, you can study in English, Russian or Arabic. Once you are done studying, you will take the hygiene passport test on the scheduled date. Hygiene passport tests are held in person in Helsinki.
