The peer support group offers participants practical tools and essential skills to help them succeed in the Finnish job market. A new group is formed twice a year in English.

This service is designed for highly educated immigrants who are unemployed jobseekers and who would benefit from peer support as they navigate their career paths and search for employment.

Conditions for participating in the service
You can join if:

You commit to attending all or most of the sessions

You live in the Capital Region and can attend in person at Luckan in Helsinki

You are currently registered as an unemployed jobseeker
-
You have migrated to Finland.
How can I participate in the service?
A group of ten participants meets weekly with a facilitator for a minimum of eight sessions. The program also makes use of external experts and guest speakers who share information and experiences related to the Finnish labor market, job searching, and recruitment. The content of the sessions is tailored to the participants’ needs and interests.
Key activities are:

Editing your CV and cover letter, and using your LinkedIn profile in your job search
- Sharing information about the Finnish job market and working life
- Supporting the job search process
- Sharing experiences and receiving peer support from others in similar situations
