    The service is offered on a discretionary basis for jobseekers whose work ability and functional capacity need to be examined more closely in relation to their target profession, planned studies or a new profession.

    Your assigned employment services specialist will direct you to a specialist assessment of work ability if needed.

    Benefits of participating in the service

    The purpose of the service is to help you find employment. You will receive individual additional information on your work ability, functional capacity and chances of entering the workforce or taking up studies. 

    Conditions for participating in the service

    This discretionary service can be granted to jobseekers who are motivated to work with a specialist to determine their chances of finding employment or taking up studies in relation to their work ability. 

    By signing the service referral, you will give your consent for the exchange of information between employment services and the service provider. 

    How can I participate in the service?

    Your assigned employment services specialist will assess your situation and refer you to the service if needed.

    Specialist assessments of work ability are carried out by a single healthcare specialist (neuropsychologist, psychiatrist, physiatrist, neurologist or occupational healthcare doctor).

    Specialist assessments take place over 1–2 sessions in the service provider’s premises. At the end of the service, you will receive personal feedback and a written statement that will also be sent to employment services.
