How can I participate in the service?
Participation in a training try-out is agreed upon in your employment plan or another corresponding plan. The employment authority purchases a training try-out from a training service provider for either individuals or groups. Not all educational institutions organise training try-outs, but it is possible to purchase training try-out services from vocational special needs education colleges, among other education providers.
This service is intended for private clients without vocational upper secondary education and training as well as people looking to change careers who require support for confirming the right field of study. There are no age limits or home municipality restrictions for participation in the service.
You will receive current information on training opportunities and educational institutions.
How is the service organised?
A training try-out is a way to try out studies. The purpose of the try-out is to find out whether the industry and study programme in question are a good fit for you. A training try-out is organised in an educational institution and planned according to your personal needs. During a training try-out, you are entitled to the same unemployment security that you would be entitled to as an unemployed person. You can also receive discretionary expense allowance for the days of participation. Participation in a training try-out is agreed upon in your employment plan or another corresponding plan.
During a training try-out, you will be introduced to the content of the training and the requirements of the profession, follow lessons, and have discussions with teachers and study and careers advisers. Additionally, your work ability and functional capacity may be assessed in relation to the choice of field of study and the requirements for practising the profession. If necessary, the training try-out will also include determining the appropriateness of the educational institution’s premises with regard to your situation, such as looking into their accessibility.
