How is the service organised?
Implementation
Transition security allowance
Transition security allowance is equivalent to your one month’s salary and wages on average. Its amount is calculated based on the salary and wages that your employer paid you during the 12 calendar months leading up to the date of your dismissal from work. Any temporary lay-offs and other unpaid absences or periods for which you received partial pay before your dismissal from work may reduce the amount of transition security allowance.
Transition security training
The purpose of transition security training is to help you quickly find a new job. The training will develop your professional skills, and its content is planned according to your needs. For example, the training may entail continuing education or further education and training not leading to a qualification, or other short-term training. The training may last up to six months.
In terms of value, transition security training is equivalent to up to your two months’ salary and wages. The maximum value of the training is calculated based on the same grounds as transition security allowance. The employment authority is responsible for organising the transition security training. Participation in transition security training is voluntary for you, and neither refusing to participate nor dropping out in the middle will affect your right to unemployment security.
