How is the service organised?
Vantaa Skills Centre’s services comprise individual coaching that guides you to studies, develops your digital skills and provides you with vocational and career guidance. At Vantaa Skills Centre, you also receive support for searching for interesting job advertisements and writing a CV and job applications.
The goal of the guidance to studies is to help clients identify the best possible study option and submit applications for training. For example, the student place may be in language training, basic training or labour market training.
Digital support services teach you how to use a computer for searching for a job or student place. The content of the digital support is always customised with consideration to the client’s initial situation, their needs in relation to searching for a job or student place, and their attitude towards computers. You will learn how to safely navigate digital environments, use public services and look for information online.
In vocational and career guidance, you will consider your study and career options and develop your career planning skills. During the guidance, you will discuss your situation in life, previous experiences, interests and wishes. The coach will help you identify your strengths and skills. During the guidance, you will receive and learn how to look for information on different options and opportunities. The goal of the vocational and career guidance is to clarify your path, strengthen your agency and support you in making plans for the future.
Your assigned employment specialist can also direct you to individual job search coaching, during which your coach will support you in your job search.
