4. Purposes of and legal basis for processing personal data

Purposes of processing
The purpose of processing personal data in the register is to manage user accounts for the joint municipal Service Manual web service of employment services and to implement electronic communications related to the use of the system. The data subjects include employment services personnel as well as users from different municipalities and service provider organisations who act as content creators. 

Legal basis for processing

City employees: Article 6(1)(c ) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation: processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the controller is subject.

Employees of service providers: Article 6(1)(e) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation: processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller.

5. Data content of the register
The data subject’s first and last name, organisation, email address and job title.

6. Regular disclosures of personal data
No regular disclosures.

7. Transfers of data outside the EU or EEA
The data in the register is stored within the EU/EEA area, in a service owned by a US-based company.

8. Data retention periods
The data is retained for six months after the end of use, after which the user account is deactivated. Following this, the user data is erased after 30 days if the account is not reactivated before then.
