I need help to support my work ability
Do you have health worries or is your work ability reduced for other reasons?
If your health challenges affect your work ability and you need a new contact at health care services, your employment area will refer you to a health check-up for the unemployed. You can also receive a medical certificate from the health check-up if you need one for applying for a suitable rehabilitation programme or benefit.
If needed, your designated specialist can also refer you to another kind of work ability charting process carried out by a specialist or give you instructions for applying for vocational rehabilitation provided by your pension provider or Kela.
If transferring directly to working life is still challenging for you, the employment area can refer you to rehabilitative work activities or a work try-out. Rehabilitative work activities can help you discover your strengths and establish a routine in your everyday life. A work try-out allows you to explore your opportunities to re-enter the labour market after a longer absence.
The employment area will also give you advice regarding different forms of financial support. You can be granted a pay subsidy to promote employment based on your reduced work ability, and the employer can receive financial support for improving the work conditions of its employee with partial work ability.
