I am a jobseeker under the age of 30

The services of the employment areas can help you find an education provider and a job alike. You can receive help with deciding on your future career from a guidance counsellor or career choice psychologist, who will discuss different options with you. You can also take part in job coaching, in which your personal coach will encourage and help you with work and training application processes.

To support work ability and life management

If the leap into working life still feels distant to you, bring up your concerns with your designated specialist. Workshop activities for young people under 30 are an excellent way to look into different fields of profession through work try-outs. Kela’s vocational rehabilitation and coaching for young people can also help you forward in an uncertain situation, e.g. if you have physical or mental health worries.

Check the rules concerning the unemployment security of a jobseeker under the age of 25

Persons aged 17 or older can receive unemployment allowance if certain criteria are met. However, all persons under the age of 25 are obligated to apply during the spring application period for at least two places in studies starting in the autumn if they have no prior vocational qualification or higher education degree. If you do not apply for a place in studies or accept one granted to you, you can lose your right to unemployment allowance in the autumn as of 1 September.
