Compensation for travel and accommodation costs

You can seek compensation for costs incurred for a job interview if you attend a job interview in Finland or in another EU country. Moreover, the payment of compensation must be appropriate from the perspective of your employment.

Discretionary expense allowance may be granted for the duration of a service supporting employment as agreed upon in a plan if participation in the service causes necessary expenses. The employment authority decides on granting the allowance.

Integration training and independent studies in Swedish

The training supports clients in their integration in and adaptation to Finland with Swedish as their integration language. The client is directed to either independent training or integration training in Swedish.

Preparatory education for an upper secondary qualification (TUVA)

Apply for TUVA education if you need support for strengthening your learning skills and Finnish proficiency and would like to move on to vocational education and training suitable for you. The scope of the training is 38 weeks.

Preparatory instruction and lower secondary education for adults is divided into three phases: the entry phase, preparatory instruction for lower secondary education, and lower secondary education. A personal study plan is drawn up for the student.
